Private Owner's Agents -
Whilst we welcome all property owners and provide special rates for owners with multiple properties, we do not take on property agents without specific instructions directly from the property owners.
Owners with Multiple Properties - An individual property is a single villa, apartment, house, etc. not sharing the same plot of land and each of these properties will need a separate advert. If you own multiple properties which share the same plot of land (eg. in a single apartment complex) then these properties can be advertised together in a single advert. If you have multiples of more that 3 properties please contact us before posting your advert.
B & B, and Hotel Owners - Owners of
hotels, guest houses and bed & breakfasts are welcome to advertise on the site with details of the accommodation, shared facilities and services provided should be specified as appropriate.
SMS Text Alerts - In addition to receiving booking enquiries by email, you can also choose to receive SMS texts direct to your mobile phone to alert you to enquiries. The SMS alert service is useful for advertisers who are not able to check their e-mail very frequently, as it enables them to respond to their enquiries sooner.
Link to Your Own Website - "I have my own website to advertise my holiday home - can I link to it to provide holiday makers with more information?" Certainly we will allow links to your own website and would expect to have a reciprocal link back to HVS on that website (our link should be on the page that you link to from your HVS advert). If you are not able to provide a reciprocal link request for one-way links may be considered. Links that go through to a commercial site or to one of our competitors websites will not be accepted. All links will be vetted before they are made live..
Photos - Photos may be sent to us via a variety of methods:
1) by uploading digital images directly from your own computer onto our website via our upload forms.
2) by e-mail to enquiries@holiday-villa-select (as a .jpg attachments)
3) by sending original photographs to us through the post for scanning
4) by asking for your images to be downloaded from another website (you must have copyright ownership of any such images)
Try and make sure that your photos/images are colourful and sharp and show your property and its surroundings to its best advantage. We recommend that you use a mixture of external and internal photos in order to give guests a good overall view of your property. For those owners uploading digital images or sending images by e-mail we advise that the images should be 300 x 200 pixels. Full instructions on the online upload process are available from within the account manager suite once registration is complete.
Availability Calendar - we have a very
simple availability calendar that owners can use when they advertise. "My holiday home's availability must be visible and it needs to be easy to keep the calendar up to date" - this requirement is a common one that new owners ask for and so our calendar has been designed to work via a simple point and click to book and cancel dates.. You can access and update your calendar at any time to show booked or available dates. We recommend that you make full use of your calendar and keep it up to date, as this can save time and avoid frustration for both you and visitors to the site. Our advanced search facilities includes an option for holiday makers to search for properties on the basis of availability, with dates being taken from the calendar.
Uploading/Updating your Advert - our property upload forms are very simple and intuitive, with limited instruction being needed to complete them. You will however find full guidance notes available from your account manager suite once you have registered.
Special Interest Sections - "are there sections in which I can advertise my holiday home's special amenities or closeness to special facilities to make it easy for holidaymakers with those requirements to find my rental home?" Yes, you can have your advert listed in our special interests sections addition to the main property directory. These sections enable holidaymakers to browse/search for properties which have specific facilities like golf, skiing or other interests located nearby. There is also an option to have an additional listing in the accessibility section if there are facilities particularly suited to those with impaired mobility |
